Slam – Orde Meikle and Stuart McMillan – are the unapologetic architects of raw, deep, hypnotic techno. As co-founders of Soma Records and hosts of Slam Radio (now surpassing 600 episodes), they’ve shaped underground sound for over 30 years, carving out a legacy as true pioneers and tastemakers.

SLAM’s first album in seven years, Dark Channel, erupts from a fierce, three-week live-setup sprint – modular synths, Roland TR-909, Ableton Push and outboard effects – delivering peak-time weapons honed to perfection. From the tribal command of “Use It, Lose It” and the discordant thrust of the title track to the thumping low-end odyssey of lead single “Kulture Version,” every cut is a no-compromise tribute to the dance floor as sanctuary.
